横浜出身、茅ヶ崎在住の写真家。
10代の頃より美術全般を学ぶ傍ら、写真を撮り始める。東京農業大学卒業。造園学を学んでいた大学時代に、卒業論文制作の為に訪れたスペイン・アンダルシア地方の街グラナダに出会い、以来数年に渡り繰り返し撮影している。多くのシリーズを持つが、ポルトガルを撮影した「Portugal」で、2011年リコーフォトギャラリーRING CUBEの公募展に選出、以後写真家としての道を進む。また茶道の家元に密着したドキュメンタリー 「花月- Kagetsu」で、2012年第1回キヤノンフォトグラファーズセッションファイナリストとなり展示を行う。2014年、長きに渡り撮影してきたグラナダの、イスラム教とキリスト教の文化が入り混じり調和する世界の風景や建物、人々を捉えた写真集「Al-Andalus」（桜花出版）として刊行。その他に無印良品とのコラボレーション企画「本日の箱庭 - The Miniature Garden」に参加、自身が作る二段の弁当箱を箱庭に見立てた作品が無印良品の店舗で展開される。また 「本日の箱庭展 -the Miniature Garden-」(72 Gallery 東京京橋)を 同時開催。2016年3月にはこれまで のシリーズを網羅した個展「The Collection」(ano ano galerie、南大塚)を開催する。
2018年には湘南・ 茅ヶ崎を舞台に「浜」に集う人々をモノクロ写真で捉えた 「浜」を赤々舎より刊行。同展は2018年から2019年にかけて、キヤノンギャラリー銀座・名古屋・大阪の他、72Gallery 、茅ヶ崎市庁舎のプロムナードで個展が開催された。 2022年にはライカカメラジャパンとDNPメディア・アートの協業により、ライカGINZA SIX・ライカ大丸心 斎橋店の他、DNPプラザにて新橋芸者をモノクロームで撮り下ろした「新ばし」を開催。 現在は作家活動のほか、「GARDÉ COLLECTIVE ×大門美奈」としてのアパレルブランドとのコラボレーションシリーズを 展開、カメラメーカー主催の講座やイベント等の講師を務め、雑誌・WEBマガジンなどへ寄稿、コラムの連載など活動は多岐にわたる。

Mina Daimon, Born in Yokohama and living in Chigasaki, She began taking photographs while studying drawing and other subjects as a teenager. Graduated from Tokyo University of Agriculture. While studying landscape architecture at university, she visited the city of Granada in Andalusia, Spain, for her graduation thesis project, and since then has repeatedly photographed the city for several years. She has many series of photographs, but it was "Portugal," a series of photographs of Portugal, that was selected for the 2011 Ricoh Photo Gallery RING CUBE Open Call Exhibition, and since then she has been pursuing her career as a photographer. In 2014, he published a book of photographs of Granada, a city he has photographed for a long time, capturing its landscape, buildings, and people in a world where Muslim and Christian cultures mix and harmonize. In 2014, she published "Al-Andalus - JPCO Japanese Photography Culture to the World Project No. 9" ( Oka Publishing Co., Ltd.), a collection of photographs of people, buildings, and landscapes in Granada, where she has photographed for a long time, and where Muslim and Christian cultures blend harmoniously. She also participated in a collaborative project with MUJI, "Miniature Garden," in which her two-tiered lunch boxes were used as a miniature garden, and were displayed at MUJI stores. In March 2016, she held a solo exhibition "The Collection" at ano ano galerie in Minami-Otsuka, Tokyo. In 2018, she published "Hama," a series of black-and-white photographs of people gathering at "Hama" in Chigasaki, Shonan, from Akaakasha. In the publisher's statement, she says, "When I spend time at the beach, I feel as if I don't have a name, and I don't have to tell people who I am. From 2018 to 2019, solo exhibitions were held at Canon Gallery Ginza, Nagoya, and Osaka, as well as 72 Gallery and Chigasaki City Hall Promenade. In 2022, in collaboration with Leica Camera Japan and DNP Media Art, " Shimbashi", a black-and-white portrait of Shimbashi Geisha was held at Leica GINZA SIX and Leica Daimaru Shin-Saibashi as well as at DNP Plaza. Currently, she is developing a series of collaborations with apparel brands as "GARDÉ COLLECTIVE x Mina Daimon," lecturing at courses and events hosted by camera manufacturers, contributing to magazines and web magazines, and writing a series of columns. Major exhibitions include "Portugal" (Ricoh Photo Gallery RING CUBE, 2011), "Miniature Garden" (72 Gallery, 2013), "The Collection" (ano ano galerie, 2016), "Hama" ( Canon Gallery Ginza, Nagoya, Osaka | 2018), "Shinbashi" (Leica GINZA SIX, Leica Daimaru Shinsaibashi, DNP Plaza), "Al-Andalus" (Sakuraka Shuppan | 2014) and "Hama" ( Akaaka Sha | 2018) in photography books.
“初見で感じたありのままの美しさを決して損なわない謙虚な写格が心地良いではないか”
人間にはそれぞれの写格があるように、写真にも写格と言うものがあるものだ。その写格は作者の性格、センス、美意識、テーマ性などが組み合わさって作品に反映される。いくらカメラが進歩しても、この写格は作品の上にどうしようもなく滲み出てくるものだ。大門美奈さんは光と写真独特の偶然性にこだわりを持つ新進の作家だ。その大門さんの写真には彼女が出会った優しくも美しい光や、ある一瞬が見事に捉えられている。（中略）極端な加工はせずに、初見で感じたままの美しさを決して損なわない謙虚な写格が心地良いではないか。
